Render Issues
I have quite a problem to get my slingshot closer to photo realistic.
I want to spend time for other things like remove the white tracking marks at the floor and the tjep marks at the wall.
The stative I sat on must also be removed.
If some one got some ideas how to get the slingshot more realistic please whrite me:-)
Right now it contains 10 layers
RGB pass (lighting)
3 RGB passes (fore diffrent parts and material)
Light
Texture (Surface material)
Shadows
Occlusion
Specular
Mask

hey!, looks really really cool…
not sure if you noticed but your mask is going through your body and head a couple of times.
animation looks perfect to me, great work!
Not really the expert on the field of lighting and so on but it does feel like your missing textures.
the rubber sling shot thing could probably do with some sub surface scattering and specular/reflection highlights. maybe it should be made of a different material?
in general I think all the metal peaces needs a loot more reflections and specular. there is like at least 50 sources of light from the roof that would give you strong reflections.
maybe an idea would be to find something that resembles your sling shot and film it for ref? like grab a couple of metal peaces and see how they behave in the environment

Looks great. Though, here’s some criticism.
I don’t think the clip needs to be desaturated to this degree. I think what you’re aiming for is for it to appear as a a home video camera. If so, don’t try to emulate film (i.e. less colour and more contrast).
Yeah…What I’m trying to say is, don’t desaturate…

I’m no expert but it somehow stands out, especially the few frames where it’s being launched. It’s as if the darkest areas in your catapult might not match with the darkest in the real stuff, same with the brightest areas.
There’s a lot of lights in the ceiling so maybe the occlusion hurts more then it helps? It gives the sling shot a dark outline.
Just my two cents.
Good work, keep it up!
