3D Replacements

To not get too far behind in my schedule I’ve started to work on my 3D replacements. Mostly these replacements will be small boxes and planes because of the distance to the tornado but some replacements are miniature modells of big things like cars. I’ve added small lights too these cars so that it will bee more obviuos that their are cars in the air.

So cute! =)

How come you took the time to make the windows on the cars transparent?
I can barely see that the windows are transparent on the thumbnails in the blog.

Will it be visible in the final product? Considering the tornado appears to be far away.

    Hi!
Don’t know if you’ve allredy seen this but it’s something similar to what you do.
A great reference for your simulation.

It seems that it has lika 3 or 4 emitter with difrent colour to break it up some more.
It gets a nice look when they mix together at the top.

    Hi Ekroth,

Well to bee honest I made the windows transparent because I was bored and I was waiting for one of my test renderings to be done. It took me like 10 seconds to create the material and add it to the cars. It’s unnecessary I know and I will probably change the color when I animate them but for now they will stay transparent.

    Thanks,

    Hi Fredrik,

I have seen similar simulations like the one that you gave me but this one was realy cool. For now I have too bee satisfied whit what I have when it comes to the fluids part if I want to have a finished produkt in time but I will have this reference in mind when I work more on fluids on my spare time. ;)

    Thanks a lot!
