I’ve created a breakdown of my layers in my short film. I don’t show every single layer because that would take to long, I put some of them together from the start, but I think you will get a pritty good idea of how many they are.

I’ve also changed some of the video links here in the blogg so that this page wont take that long to load.
Enjoy =)
Finally, at the last minute I feel that I can let everything go and say that I’m finished.
I’m probably going to work some more on the details before the last presentation, but here is my MS3 delivery:

And I close this up with a image of my node system in Fusion:
This last week before MS3 I’m working with compositing. I have rendered out almost every layer that I need from Maya (I still have about two more on the top of my wish list).
I’ve been creating most of the layers in Maya but I’m also working with particles in Fusion. I’ve used Fusion to create the snowparticles that would fall closest to the camera. To optimize the time it takes too uppdate and render in Fusion I have rendered out the snow layers that I created in Fusion into image sets soo that I could add them whit loaders again to my material.
A test on my snow layers closest to the camera.
I’m going too add more snow that brakes up the line between the snow on the ground and the trees closest to the camera and two more layers further away too get more depth in the film.
TornadoTest33_snowlayers.mov (Motion JPEG A)
For the moment I’m working on the tracking and the masks. There is a lot of tweaking left and I still have some snow layers that I would want to add but I’m geting closer to the result I’m after.
This is a test I rendered out last night.
TornadoTest32_layertest.mov (Motion JPEG A)
I thougt I should add an example of how I were going too animate the cars that my tornado pulls upp from the ground.
Because of their size I don’t have to pay that much antention to how they look, in the end they wont bee much larger than a couple of pixels wide soo I could just use more particles but I wanted too learn more about using feilds and rigid bodies. Soo I made the cars into rigid bodies and uset fields too make them move.
Here’s a test where the tiny car is being pulled up in the air.
To not get too far behind in my schedule I’ve started to work on my 3D replacements. Mostly these replacements will be small boxes and planes because of the distance to the tornado but some replacements are miniature modells of big things like cars. I’ve added small lights too these cars so that it will bee more obviuos that their are cars in the air.

So cute! =)
