MS2: Round Up
Today I’ve given my Milestone 2 presentation, which went pretty well. I’ve also installed the Unreal 3 Editor and will now spend the next few days playing around with it.
I’ve already experimented some with Alpha channels in Maya, and while this might be too high poly for my final scene, I still like the effect:

Looks nice, I don’t think there’s too much polygons in there, but I’m no expert. :)
If you have the Nvidia plugin to Photoshop you could try make a normal map out of your textures. That together with a specular map will make it mega awesome!
