Programming Week 20

Ok, yeah… I didn’t break it really. Constructors for components was just a bad idea.

The character now can take damage and die, it doesn’t work that smooth yet, but it kind of works.

I’ve just realized how terrible my coding is, but that’ll have to wait until the last moment, if there’s time I’ll look into making it prettier then.

Moving around

Yeah, so the character moves very nicely and the camera moves with him, now there’s level design, zombies, animations and GUI left. Or something like that. I’m not quite sure how to do the level design yet, if we should make large levels or smaller ones we switch between more often.

We will have a meeting later today to set the goals for the week and coming weeks.

Programming summary 14/4

So far there haven’t been much done. As we’re making a platform game I’ve just begun to make a GravityComponent, to handle jumping and falling back to the ground. I’m planning to have a character that can jump and move by the end of the week.
