A new Design
Now we are done going through the old design document and all the changes are fixed. We changed some things a little bit, all from weapon damage to game play design. We also have some ideas that havent been written yet, they are still under progress.
The programmers are working hard trying to get along with the NUI code. They are pretty much done most of the basics of the game like weapon collition and walls.

Graphics done
I think all graphics for the game is done by now, we might change or put on some extra layers of colour on them but but we have what we need to try out the game. The only thing missing now for that is a playable code but that will probably be done soon with the programmers starting this week to develope the code.

I just upload 2 concept arts of the player base and the npc that I will use as base for the ones that will be in the game. One of them is pretty much done and I might upload it soon but until then you can enjoy my simple concept arts.

The End of the Begining!
It is thursday now and we have been able to work together pretty well these four days. We have gotten to know more about the programmers and have starten to find the room more pleasing since we have gotten new chairs.

Game Design Document
The programmers have by now read the game design document and have had many questions on how things should work. Questions like how the shots will fly from <THINGY>, how the the walls will work or how the turn mechanism should be. Some questions is still on stall or more like work in progress and we will have them written down more precise in a updated Design Document that will come pretty soon.
Also more graphical question have come up like how will health be represented and how the over all graphics will be. Many ideas have been brought up and will be tested when the first version of the game is up and running. We also have an hardware problem, our programmers do not have the ability to use shaders because the graphics card dont support them. This is of course just a minor problem since it has nothing to do with the game play.
We designers work on different areas right now, Johan is working on the graphics for the NPC <THING> and the player bases and I have started to create the sound effects and the game music.

Week 2 report
We had our first version of the design document on Monday when the first draft should be done, but during the week we changed some things in the game to make it work better.
We added one type of weapon for the NPC which was the plasma balls which would be a weaker weapon then the lasers and missiles but that would be fired in large amounts at the same time. We also changed the lasers from being small fires to become long lines of lasers that would make massive damage if you couldn’t protect yourself from them.
We also got some designs on our NPC which will be used in the game. It builds on an idea from Krus who suggested some type of mechanical metal base in the middle that should be built on with new weapons during the time the game went on. I changed the design to something a bit simpler but that build on the same idea. The idea now is that the NPC will have a plasma core which shoots the plasma balls in all directions and then there will be mounted missile turrets and laser guns on it to fire those types of weapons.
More then finish up our design document we spend a lot of time doing nothing in the wait for our own room to be found and prepared so our programmers could start doing their work. We got the room at Friday and put in all our equipment in it so now it is done. The only thing missing now is internet and then we’re ready to work.
