Log: Texture Tests

Here are some texture/shader tests I’ve been working on.
Tryed to recreate metal, with reflection and specular maps. Also experimented with a procedural rust/metal shader (picture 2 and 3 from the left), will hopefully make the texturing of all scrap in the yard go a lot smoother:

    Thanks!
    Had a hard time with the reflection on the metal. I guess it’s because it depends so much on the lighting and the environment, you don’t know what to tweak.

    We usually solve the problem of how it looks in the environment by setting up a master look development scene.

    It’s a typical lighting environment for the sequence/show/etc, and helps a lot in working out things like the reflections, etc.

    It also makes it much easier to put the CG in with the film plates later on.
